STEPDANCE WEEKEND IN EDINBURGH
John will be running a couple of days of rhythmic fun by the seaside in Edinburgh! The course is aimed at intermediate and above level dancers with experience of Scottish/Cape Breton stepdance.
The focus of the course will be on creating rhythmic patterns and grooves, listening closely to music and improvising interesting variations on some familiar steps. We’ll expect to work with reels and jigs initially, but may throw in some unexpected music too :)
Saturday night will be an optional drinks & pub/bistro meal (not included) by the beach.
Dancers from other percussive styles (e.g. tap/Irish) are welcome to attend courses after a couple of 1-1 sessions to learn basic steps.
